Social Facilities
The two dedicated communal Pavilions provide a place for residents to relax and enjoy a variety of activities together.
PAVILION 2 LIBRARY
PAVILION 2 houses a Pool Table, Dartboard, Puzzles, Board Games with a few shelves of Books and DVDs to borrow.
PAVILION 3 has a full timetable of exercise classes including:
Balance, Pilates, T’ai Chi, Table Tennis, Yoga and Zumba Gold
There is a collection of books, jigsaws, games and DVDs in Pavilion 2 which have been donated by residents and is looked after by Anne Hanford. The fiction books are arranged in alphabetical order of the author’s name; the biographies and autobiographies by the name of the person; the remainder of non-fiction books are in broad subject groups. These include some about the local area.
A form is pinned up for noting which books are borrowed to help indicate which books are popular; name of the borrower is not required! As space is limited, it is necessary to remove some books to allow for new additions. Please leave returns and any donations in the crate provided. Any surplus books are given to local charity shops. Contact Anne Hanford for further information.
GROUP TRIPS are periodically arranged for:
CULTURE EVENINGS - screenings of Royal Ballet & National Theatre productions at a nearby Cinema.
DINE/LUNCH OUT - We go out as a group for dinner to nearby restaurants
In the evenings, residents meet for:
Weekly Bridge
Snooker/Pool/Darts
Monthly Quiz Night
Monthly Wine Tasting
Monthly Film Night
Scrabble (Wednesday afternoons)
Friday Evening “Sundowners”
