Life at Cliveden Village
Cliveden Village sits in glorious countryside on the former site of the Canadian Red Cross Memorial Hospital on the edge of the National Trust Cliveden Estate. Surrounded by majestic mature trees both within the landscaped grounds of the Village, and within the wider Estate, residents enjoy privileged access to the 376 acres of woodland, river Thames frontage, and manicured gardens of Cliveden. Via a dedicated entrance gate, wander through glades of bluebells and snowdrops, watch red kites soaring from the vantage point by the Duke of Sutherland statue, take a leisurely stroll, or a 5-mile hike… the choice is ours, both during public opening hours and beyond.
Homes at Cliveden Village are owned on a Leasehold basis, with the National Trust retaining the Freehold. Ownership brings automatic membership of the National Trust, as well as of the National Trust Tennants Association (TANT). Leasehold ownership brings a different set of responsibilities to owning freehold, and depends on a sense of community and common good to work well.
Cliveden Village Management Company Ltd (CVMCL) has the responsibility of managing the day to day running of the Village, the fulfillment of various leasehold duties, maintenance and health and safety.
The Directors of CVMCL (all of whom are residents) put a great deal of unpaid effort into carrying out their duties. New Directors are always welcomed, so if you have professional skills in business administration, law, accounting, H&S etc, do consider putting your name forward.
They are supported by our Estate Management company Eaves Property Management Services (EPMS). In general, queries about estate matters should be directed in the first place to EPMS.
